About Us

Hi my name is Shane Munday founder of Countryside Deer Management uk.

I am 36 years old and a Director of a construction/electrical company called SENDIT Group (Sussex) ltd based in West Sussex.

I’ve been in and around the shooting industry and countryside for over 25 years.

I’ve always taken a keen interest in deer management and so I’ve decided to build my own site and portfolio explaining the main reasons we manage deer, the effect they have on our environment and the damage they can cause.

There are plently of sites and google pages explaining this but for those that don’t know what to search for the basic information is found within this site.

I personally hold a full firearms and shotgun license, DSC1 (deer stalking certificate) WGMH (wild game meat hygiene), DSC2, HAD (humane animal dispatch), fully qualified in DMQ (Deer Management Qualification) and have the full EFAW+F (emergency first aid at work with forestry) qualification. 

I carry out all my deer management with my business partner Charlie Harwood but also closely with a small team that lend a hand from time to time on cull days and with carcass extraction.

I (we) are all fully insured and have all the necessary qualifications to accommodate what we do.

A lot of people see a beautiful animal that relates to Christmas even though actually Rudolf is a reindeer and is native only in north Europe and Asia not in the UK.

Although deer and incredible, inquisitive creatures, that doesn’t mean the rise in population goes unnoticed. They need to be controlled and looked after hence why I’ve built this site explaining the importance of deer management.
